A sofa is the single most common thing Orlando households need gone — and the one item almost no curbside program will take. Here's what removal actually costs and what your options are.

Couch & Sofa Removal in Orlando: Cost, Rules and Options

How much does couch removal cost in Orlando?

Couch removal in Orlando costs $99–$149 for a single sofa, loveseat or sectional piece in 2026. That is a flat, all-in price: the two-person crew, the carry-out, the truck, and the disposal or donation drop.

A full sectional counts as its own piece per section. A three-piece L-shaped sectional prices closer to a quarter-truck load at $179–$249 rather than three separate single-item fees, which is almost always the cheaper way to book it.

  • Single sofa or loveseat: $99–$149
  • Recliner or armchair: $89–$119
  • Sleeper sofa (heavier, steel frame): $119–$169
  • Two- or three-piece sectional: $179–$249
  • Full living room set (sofa, loveseat, chairs, tables, rug): $329–$399

Why Orlando won't take your couch on trash day

Upholstered furniture is excluded from regular household collection everywhere in Central Florida. City of Orlando residents can set bulk items out on their scheduled day, but volume caps, timing windows and HOA curb rules mean a couch frequently sits for weeks — or draws a citation.

In gated and deed-restricted communities the situation is simpler and worse: private roads usually get no municipal bulk service at all, so there is no curbside option for a sofa under any circumstance.

Donate it, or dispose of it?

If the sofa is structurally sound, free of tears, stains, pet damage and odor, it can be donated — and Central Florida charities do take furniture, though most decline upholstery that fails a visual inspection at the door.

We route donatable pieces to a local partner rather than the landfill as part of the same pickup, at no change to your price. If it fails inspection, it goes to the transfer station instead. You don't have to make the call or move it twice.

  • Donatable: clean upholstery, intact frame, working recliner mechanism, no smoke or pet odor
  • Not donatable: rips, water damage, sagging or broken frame, bed-bug history, heavy staining
  • Either way the price you were quoted does not change

Getting a sofa out of a tight space

Most of the sofas we remove come out of second-floor apartments, condo units with a single elevator, or houses where the piece was assembled in place. Stairs, standard carry distance and normal doorway maneuvering are included in the flat price — we do not add a stair fee.

For genuinely immovable pieces, we can cut the frame down on-site rather than damage your walls or door casings. That is a decision we make with you before anything happens, and it does not change the quote for a standard sofa.

How to book couch removal today

Same-day pickup is normal for a single sofa. Send a photo or describe the piece and where it sits, and you get a firm price before the truck rolls. Nothing is charged if you decline the on-site quote.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to remove a couch in Orlando?+

$99–$149 for a single sofa or loveseat, all-in — crew, carry-out, truck and disposal. A multi-piece sectional runs $179–$249, and a full living room set is $329–$399.

Will you take a couch from an upstairs apartment?+

Yes. Stairs, elevators and standard carry distance are included in the flat price. Just let us know the floor and whether your building requires an elevator reservation so we can schedule the window.

Can I put a sofa on the curb in Orlando?+

Only if your address has scheduled bulk collection and you set it out inside the allowed window. Most HOAs restrict curb staging to the evening before pickup and fine for anything left longer, and gated communities on private roads generally get no bulk service at all.

Do you donate couches that are still in good shape?+

Yes. Clean, structurally sound upholstery goes to a local donation partner instead of the landfill as part of the same pickup, at no change to your price.

How fast can you pick up a single couch?+

Usually the same day. A single-item sofa pickup is the quickest job we run — call (407) 751-1722 and we'll give you the next available window.
